WVPT presents Me and Martha, an educational music evening at Back Home on the Farm on Friday September 10, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Don Depoy and Martha Hills present a lively night of foot tapping Blue Grass music featuring children in their presentation. Come enjoy this production under the stars at the Farm. Ride the carousel while you are there! Bring you lawn chairs, blankets and family to engage in this music delight! Come early and bring a picnic! The cost is $8.50 for adults and children under 16 FREE! All proceeds go toward the WVPT mission of education and entertainment. Reading Rockets is a national multimedia project offering information and resources on how young kids learn to read, why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help.
The Reading Rockets project is comprised of PBS television programs, available on videotape and DVD; online services, including the websites ReadingRockets.org and ColorinColorado.org; and professional development opportunities. Reading Rockets is an educational initiative of WETA, the flagship public television and radio station in the nation's capital, and is funded by a major grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
